我是…… I AM______

最近又看到了一個很棒的廣告，不寫不快。

向來我都是比較欣賞這種形象式的商業廣告，它並非平舖直敘去談一項商品的功能，取而代之的是商品背後或之外所構築的意象。尤其這則廣告是由一篇篇市井小民的人生故事濃縮而成，這種富含生命意義的廣告其訴說能力更能深入人心，或許這就是廣告能殺人於無形的可怕之處。

／我是……／

相機品牌Nikon推出新的形象廣告「I AM」，這則廣告迷人與亮點之處有二：其一是強調世界上每個人都有自己獨特的生命景象和定義，其二是配樂採用Radical Face的Welcome Home，這首輕快的indie folk當作配樂，接合得非常完美無可挑剔。

廣告片段由身分背景全然不同的相機使用者（拍攝／被拍攝）的片段集結而成，同樣基於「使用相機」的這個動作，每個人都有自己的一段故事，透過相機記錄自己的生活點滴，抑或擷取宇宙萬物稍縱即逝的美好，每個人在攝影的當下，都主動扮演了一個角色或深入一種處境，所以在「I AM」的後面，充滿了各種不同的可能性，也間接展現了人生是如此的美妙多元。

當愛已成信仰 Run with you

「當愛已成信仰。」

第一次在電視上看到這個廣告，我就立刻喜歡上它。這是外商德國福斯委託台灣廣告公司製作的VW Golf形象廣告。它不像一般車商，只總是強調車子的極限性能，或者，擁有了這台車就能讓一家子幸福巴啦巴啦諸如此類的鬼話連篇，這則廣告完完全全是走一個有別於傳統印象的意識型態路線，在台灣，已經好久沒有看到意識形態的廣告了，所以我愛死它！

深深認為這個廣告，單身的朋友來看會特別有感觸。我想是來自於片中的角色形象建立，他們都帶有那麼一點孤單的氛圍，行走在自己的小世界裡，過著簡樸而純粹的生活，雖然看似渺小，但總是永恆地堅持著心底那某一個小小的理想／夢想。或許，他們堅持的事情，對於普羅大眾來說，是有那麼一點怪誕（譬如說幽浮同好會），但我看這個廣告的同時，我覺得我可以，甚至我已經與他們活在同一個陣線上。我愛我所愛，我也信我所愛，信仰在這裡，已經變成是一種愛慕、一種追隨、甚至一種臣服。

／地點／

其實這部包裝地很外國的廣告，拍攝景點皆來自台灣本土，例如最後一景，那荒沙渺渺宛如世界邊境的異世界，其實是彰化縣的肉粽角沙灘。肉粽角位於彰濱工業區內，在線西鄉與伸港鄉交界處，那裡有一整排壯觀的風力發電大風車以及電線杆和慘白的工業區景觀，地廣人稀、渺無生物的沙漠化景象，彷彿身在世界的邊陲，即將渡入一個超自然的異度空間。

I wonder how it all got started, this business
about seeing your life flash before your eyes
while you drown, as if panic, or the act of submergence,
could startle time into such compression, crushing
decades in the vice of your desperate, final seconds.

After falling off a steamship or being swept away
in a rush of floodwaters, wouldn't you hope
for a more leisurely review, an invisible hand
turning the pages of an album of photographs-
you up on a pony or blowing out candles in a conic hat.

How about a short animated film, a slide presentation?
Your life expressed in an essay, or in one model photograph?
Wouldn't any form be better than this sudden flash?

nothing like the three large volumes you envisioned.

Survivors would have us believe in a brilliance
here, some bolt of truth forking across the water,
an ultimate Light before all the lights go out,

中文字的曖昧 Ambiguity in Chinese

一句已經說出口的話，可以透過文字重組的方式，變成另一段意義截然不同的句子。中文字就是這樣充滿著無限的可能性，但從另一方面來看，中文字也因此隱藏著許多曖昧模糊的地帶，這就是我對中文又愛又恨得地方。

"Textbox" at TIBE 2008

"Textbox", the latest high-tech device brings a new performance style for reading poetry, and it's revolutionizing literature appreciation now. I found this interesting device at TIBE 2008 (Taipei International Book Exhibition), and really enjoyed the performance of Bas Böttcher.

In October 2006, two German poets, Bas Böttcher and Timo Brunkeacted, devised the first Textbox in Berlin. The poet acts out his works inside a glass-walled box, with translation on the screen to facilitate comprehension. The audience can hear the voice through the headphones that connected with Textbox, without noise from the outside. At the same time, you can also read the poetry on the LED screen. Textbox perfectly combines with talking ,listening and reading.
